Below is a selection of golf courses within the local area that we have played

Terra Mitica - Levante Golf club: This is an absolute stunner. 7,192 yards long and right in front of the Terra Mitica resort. This will be one of the best courses along the coastline in Spain. This course will suit the lower handicappers and anyone wanting a golfing challenge. They do have another course which is a par 62 and you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the course. One of the most enjoyable courses you will play especially if you enjoy plotting your way round a golf course.

El Saler Golf Club - This is ranked number 2 in Spain and has hosted a number of Spanish Opens. Also ranked one of the top European golf course. A must play if you can manage the 45 minute drive north to Valencia! It is actually located in the Albufera Nature Park and on the Med.. It will set you back around €90 a round but well worth it.

Campo de Golf La Finca: Located just 5 kms. from Orihuela and 15 kms. from the coastline, this 18 hole, par 72 course was designed by José Gancedo in 2001. A pleasant playing environment surrounded by leafy orchards of orange and lemon trees. There are 3 lakes to provide the water hazards.

Golf and Country Club La Marquesa: Water abounds on this beautiful 18 hole, 6.111 metre, par 72 course. Integrated well into a sophisticated urbanisation, it uses its different natural levels to create an exciting round for all. Designed by Justo Quesada Samper. Situated between Torrevieja and Guardamar.

Club de Golf Alenda: Situated just 10 kilometres from Alicante this 18 hole, 6.257 metre, par 72 course offers wide fairways in a natural parkland setting. Magnificent views to the mountains beyond. A very social club with a fine clubhouse

Golf Club Alicante: Designed by Seve Ballesteros, so you know what delights to expect. This 18 hole, 6.156 metre, par 72 course is situated just north of Alicante on Playa de San Juan. The setting is with a mountain backdrop with a parkland style course, challenging enough to make a round of golf most memorable

Club de Golf Bonalba: Another cracker. Designed by Ramón Espinosa and opened in 1995 this is an 18 hole, par 72, 6.367 metre course set inland from El Campello on the autopista A7 at exit 67, Mutxamel. The club has 2 professionals, Christian Ziff and Gabriel Marqués who both eagerly tutor golfers of all standards.

Club de Golf Ifach: A mature course opened in 1974. 9 holes par 60 with a distance of 3,352 metres. Andy Sinclair is the professional who welcomes all ex-pats. Situated between Calpe and Javea on the autopista A7 at exit 63.

Club de Golf Don Cayo: Another mature course opened in 1974. 9 holes 3.022 metres with an 18-hole par of 72. Designed by Pedro Barber and Gregorio Sanz. This is a very welcoming course to visitors and always delivers a fascinating round. In the urbanisation of Altea Golf, exit 64 on the A7 just south of Calpe.

Club de Golf Jávea: Francisco Moreno Bueno designed this course to give a challenge to all. 9 holes with an 18 hole overall distance of 6.070 metres with a par of 72. Situated inland from Jávea. Exit 63, Benissa. If you wish to improve your game then professional José Andrés Moyano is the man to see.

Club de Golf La Sella: A fine golf course for the residents and visitors to Denia. Inland from the town, this 18 hole, 6.028 metre par 72 course presents a challenge to all. Designed by José Olazabal and Juan de la Cuadra this challenging course was opened in 1991 and has a fine reputation for top quality golf in an idealistic setting. Find it on the autopista A7 at exit 62. Recently this course help the ladies European Championships and it was such a success the course is earmarked to host the tournament next year.

Green Fees - Check this site out for green fees on all courses on the Costa Blanca. They do keep it up to date.
